Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen strawberries
  • 4 teaspoons vodka
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup water

Blend Everything

Add the frozen strawberries, vodka, honey, and water to your blender.

Blend on high for ~5 minutes. The frozen berries take time to break down completely – if you stop too early you’ll have chunks.

You’ll hear the motor working hard at first, then it’ll smooth out as everything breaks up.

Freeze It

Pour into a freezer-safe container. I use a shallow rectangular one – it freezes faster and more evenly than a deep container.

Freeze for at least 4 hours, but overnight is better. The vodka prevents it from freezing solid like ice.

Scoop and Serve

If it’s too hard to scoop straight from the freezer, let it sit on the counter for ~2-3 minutes.

It should scoop smooth like store-bought sorbet, not icy or crystallized.

This keeps for about a month in the freezer, but it’s best in the first week. After that it can get a bit icy.
