Maple Soy Glazed Salmon

The broiler does all the work here. You get that sticky, caramelized glaze without standing over a pan or worrying about flipping.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 salmon fillets 1 1/4 inches thick
  • Sea salt and black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Position rack 6 inches from broiler and preheat.
  • Line broiler pan with foil, add rack, spray with cooking oil.
  • Simmer maple syrup and soy sauce 3-5 minutes until reduced to 4 tablespoons. Reserve half for serving.
  • Pat salmon dry, season with salt and pepper.
  • Place fillets skin-side down on rack, spaced 1 inch apart.
  • Brush tops with half the glaze.
  • Broil 10-12 minutes, brushing with remaining glaze halfway through.
  • Drizzle with reserved glaze and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
